We did yard work again yesterday evening, so I counted that as my work out for today. I am pretty sore from doing my abs yesterday. My sides are sore and the sit up muscles hurt :-)
Mr. T and I were reading about healthy eating on Sunday. It's a book called Eat Up and Slim Down. It is pretty good. It talked about eating a good portion and when in doubt about how much a portion is estimate smaller.
It also talked about that it is better to count calories rather than low-fat things, because low-fat items can still have a lot of calories. I also figured that I need to cut my calories back to 1800 a day in order to loose 1-2 lbs a week. It described a healthy well-balanced diet. Which I feel that I stick pretty close to. I try to use the color factor and pyramid when feeding my family. I try to have a variety of good vegetables on hand and I try to keep good protein in each meal with out over doing the meat. From reading I decided that it is my portion control that I need to keep in check. I need to stop after my first (slightly smaller) helping and wait to make sure that I am full.
