3.2

I believe that is how long a 5K is. I could be wrong, but I thought that is what Mr. T told me it was.
I didn't time my self today....as much...I tried to watch how far I went. I was able to go almost 2 miles in a half hour. That was a brisk walk and some running. That told me 2 things. 1, I am able to do the 5K in less than 2 hours :-) and 2, it gave me some hope that I might not only be able to make it 5K with out passing out...I might be able run that 5K, if I work hard over the summer.

It sure is interesting to see the people that work out at the gym. There is a man/woman that does the aerobic work out in the morning. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me at first. He/she has harry legs like a man, looks like a man, but has hair like a woman, but talks like a woman, acts like a woman, and best of all....STARFIRE written on his/her license plate....adds a little mixing up to the every day routine, and hey, it's a no discrimination gym! :-)

On the calorie counting front. I have found a website that helps track calories, excercise plans, offers motivation, and gives advise. It is similar to Weight Watchers. But it is FREE and it doesn't use points. sparkpeople.com Mr. T and I have decided to use it. It seems like a good website and has helped us keep track of how many callories we burn while doing cardio and how many we SHOULD be eating everyday. Yesterday for me was a good day. I stayed pretty close to what I needed to. I went over by about 100 callories. Not too bad...but I will try harder today.

  1. It sure takes your mind off the pain when you can watch interesting people... although here at home I don't have anyone funny to look at. (Except myself!)

  2. I thought a 5k was 3.1 miles. Close enough though. :) Good luck on all your exercising!
