Saddle Bags.
I found a new work out on ExerciseTV.com and it had a good (quick) outer and inner thigh work out. It burned. I felt it working and I am going to keep it up. To see if I can do something about these saddle bags of mine that seem to never want to go away, no matter what I do, ever, about them.

A small milestone...Maybe a big one....
...depends on how you look at it. I ran a full mile today without stopping to walk. It felt good. I guess all this really means is I am getting there. 2-3x's a week running just a little, is slowly adding up. I am OK with the fact that I am SUPER slow runner. Some story of a turtle and rabbit comes to mind. Maybe not the exact way I picture it, but point is I am getting there. I am slowly, but surly making my way from only being able to run a block, and that was if someone were chasing me, to running a full mile because I woke up and wanted to.
I have also been working on my weight training just a little. If I can't go running that morning than I do a little muscle building work out. I definitely feel like I am gaining some muscle. I like it. If Todd looks really fast when I flex, there is some definition there. Even my waist has gone down, just a little like 1/2 inch. But hey, I'll take it, like I said small milestones...

Still going...
I am still going. I went for a good short run, long walk this morning. It felt good. I didn't realize how much talking and pushing a stroller can affect your running abilities. :-) Now I know. It was all good though. Spent with good company and a beautiful morning. Not too cold and warming up by the time we got home.
Good start to a good morning.

Time...
So I ran my mile a couple of days in a row, now my knee is killing me! I'm not sure if it's the weather (which tends to do it most of the time) or running. I gave it a little break, 2 or 3 days, and just when I thought it would be Ok...it's hurting again. UHGG! I even having been wearing my knee brace and stretching...oh well I am sure I will figure it out.
The kids are back in school now. LOVE IT! But I have found that is my time to snack. I really need to find a way to not raid the kitchen when no one is home. I think I feel the "empty" time in my day with food. uhm....off to find projects to do.

Running...some more....
So I am making progress on my running. I don't run super consistently, but I have been running fairly regularly, about 2x's a week. I maintain about 2 miles in 20-25 min depending on my pace. Not horrible, but not great.
Today I decided how far I could go with out taking a walking break. I made it .5 miles with out stopping at all, then I only stoped twice after that for about 15 foot stretches. I was worn out after one mile, but I was proud of myself for having gone from barley being able to make it 1 block with out stopping to walk to making it a 1/2 mile without stopping.
So my point? I am getting better. I think I am going to keep that 1 mile mark for now and see if I can make it the whole mile with out stopping and keep eeking my way to longer stretches.
