Hi!
A story about the beginning of it all...
About 1 month ago my dear sweat husband (Mr. T is what he shall be called) decided that I should get a gym pass with him. HA! I laughed! There was no way I was going to go into a smelly gym with a bunch of size 0 collage students, sweating their pretty little make-up jobs off, and getting their nightly pick-up...I mean...work-out session in.
He assured me that at 5 o'clock in the morning there were very few people there and hardly any little tiny collage students. Just mostly mom's and dad's doin' their thing before work. HA! I laughed again...5 o'clock in the morning!! What did he think? That I am one of his work-out buddies?! He said "I will help you, you help me. You can take a nap during the day and I will help with the kids in bed at night so you can get into bed at a decent hour." With such sweet talkin' how could I resist?
So I signed up *sigh*
The first time the alarm went off I groaned...extra loud...so Mr. T knew I was serious about not loving this idea! I pushed myself there, with Mr. T's help of course, and met with the personal trainer (free trial with membership sign up) I was so sore the next day it hurt to breath, walk, sit up, and sneeze! But I went the next day anyway....
The past month has been hit and miss when we go. We are really good for a few days, and then something comes up and we miss a couple of days. I have had 2 weigh ins (sort of a competition with Mr. T. Not sure what the reward will be yet) with no results...in fact I think it has been +.4 lbs!
But today as I did my cardio, 1/2 hour on elliptical 40 min on the treadmill (mix of walking and running), I decided I am going to start getting motivated and share my experience with others.
I would hope that this can be a motivation to others if needed! I don't fully know what I am doing, I hope to figure it out on the way, and I will share my findings with you. I would love for you to comment about your own goals and strategies! I would like to hear your feelings, accomplishments and not-so good days as well!
So here we go...another adventure I hope to have with success!
Good Job! I appreciate your blog, and am hoping to get motivation from you!! This is a good idea, I don't dare do it. If I did I would end up stopping or something!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!! I am excited. Maybe I will make one to just for myself to read so I know where I stand with my working out. Remember 10 year high school reunion next year and count me in with the 5k. I have always wanted to run something!!
